Dr. Sweetland graduated from the College of Education at The Ohio State University with specializations in research methods, evaluation and measurement in education. Before joining Franklin in 2005, she worked at Capital University as the Assessment Analyst. Prior to becoming a higher education assessment professional, she worked as an ESL teacher in both China and the U.S. Dr. Yuerong Sweetland serves At Franklin University, Ohio as the Director of Assessment. In this role she manages the design, collection, evaluation and reporting of data and information required for general education assessment and program assessment at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Dr. Sweetland joined Franklin University in 2005 as the Assessment Coordinator. She was also the lead faculty of two writing courses from 2007 to 2008.

Chunmei Yao has joined The University of North Carolina at Pembroke as the director of the Office of Institutional Research.  Yao comes to Pembroke from Virginia Commonwealth University, where she was a senior research analyst in the Office of Planning and Decision Support. She previously worked at SUNY Oneonta as an associate director of institutional research. She has five years of experience in higher education institutional research, in addition to experience in finance, publishing and instruction at the college level. Yao earned her bachelor’s degree in World History from Nankai University and studied U.S.-China relations during the 1970s. She earned her master’s degree in Educational Psychology and a doctorate in Higher Education Leadership from West Virginia University in Morganton.

Ying Zhou is the Associate Provost of Institutional Planning, Assessment and Research at East Carolina University.  For over 10 years she worked in Institutional Assessment, Research and Distance Education at George Mason University and  brings  comprehensive knowledge in IPAR related work, such as outcomes assessment, curricular review, tracking/reporting systems and Banner Services. Dr. Zhou also has three years of experience in building and assessing distance learning programs and courses.   In 2011, Zhou and her team were the recipients of the Exemplary Program Award from the Association of General and Liberal Studies for using assessment to improve the General Education Program.
